You are going to have to forgive me!

Just read a news story about a Las Vegas real estate agent who recently died.

He worked at a prominent real estate company; and, he was known for doing large real estate deals.

My apology is for what I am about to say because I was NOT a fan.

When it comes to real estate, you need to be courteous and thoughtful toward others.  When you are a bully and you think you are better than all the rest, to me, you are nothing more than a weak, weak person.

My first interaction with this bully was years ago.  Thankfully, in the 20 years since we first met, I did my best to stay away from him. Years ago he did his best to bully me.  I bullied him right back.

Sorry, when you attempt to invalidate me; I fight back.  I hate bullies.

Anyway, the last email he sent me, months ago, was another attempt at bullying.  Apparently, he never learned his lesson.

This time, I had heard through the grapevine that he was dying, so I ignored the email and went on with my business.

Anyway, I am so, so happy he thought going to the doctor was a waste of time.  I am so glad that he's no longer sucking up precious oxygen.  And, he was a year younger than me.

(PST! I go to the doctor twice a year whether I need to or not. So, I am still healthy & (hopefully) wise!  Only time will tell.)

Does that make me a bad person?

It's okay if you think I'm bad.  You are just going to have to forgive me, regardless.

Either way, I don't care if you think I'm bad or not.

My clients know I am good, thoughtful and courteous.

Invalidation doesn't work

Very recently, a so called prominent Las Vegas Real Estate agent and I were working on a large Resort property sale.

My Buyer has already made accepted offers on three of my listings.

We were discussing the potential sale of a Resort property when my Buyer asked me if I would find out if some conditions of a potential offer for the Resort property would be acceptable to the Seller IF he included them in an offer.

Being the customer's always right type of Real Estate Broker, I said I would ask, but I told him that O didn't think they would accept what he was proposing. BUT, he insisted that I ask.  So, I sent an email to the Seller and Seller's Rep with an outline of what the potential Buyer wanted to offer.

The Seller replied quickly with a firm, "No."

Okay!  I passed that response on to the Potential Buyer.

A short time later, the Seller's Rep sends me a reply -- just to me -- with the simple question: "Do you have a Nevada Real Estate license?"

Now, I know who this agent is.  And as far as I am concerned, he's an ASS!  (I capitalized it because he truly is a big ASS!  And, if I mention his name to any other CRE agent or broker in Las Vegas, they will usually sum him up also as an ASS!)

And, I know all of you know someone who is like this.  They are the big boy/girl on campus and if you don't measure up to the way they think you should be, they treat you badly.

Well, I didn't respond to his invalidation because I know all about this ASS!  Just because you think you are better than others, doesn't mean you are.

And, unfortunately, for him, I am the type that if I am bullied, I bully back.  And, even if he turns around and says he was only joking, we don't know each other well enough to be on friendly terms.

Just so you know: Tough love doesn't work.  It's just a form of bullying.

In the weeks.months ahead, we'll see what transpires about this transaction.

But, I plan to stay the course.

In the meantime, if you are interested in any Las Vegas CRE Property -- even a Resort one...

Truth from another Point of View!

Recently, an agent tried to get me to sign an agreement to pay his firm 2.5% of a sale purchase agreement.

Okay, normally, when you purchase a property, the Seller pays a "marketing fee" and that fee is usually split between the procuring broker and the listing broker.

In this transaction, I am the listing broker.

It has to do with five multi-family properties I have listed.

The agent sent me a form to sign that would have held me and my company liable for commission even though there was no buyer mentioned in the form.

Now, having the experience I have in my near 28 year real estate career, I have only run across this scenario once before.

It's a backhanded way of stealing commission from a broker.

You see, if I signed this form, this agent could in turn claim a commission if I sold the property to a buyer NOT affiliated with the agent -- even without this agent involved -- the form states that I would owe them part of the commission.

Not going to happen.

I work too hard for the little money I earn.

Anyway, the agent called me.  I politely took the call.  And, he began to invalidate and bully me because of my steadfast refusal to believe his truth from another point of view!

His bullying included insults for not seeing this his way of trying to earn a procuring commission by stealing.

I told him that this call was over and I hung up.  I even blocked his number.

Anyway, who needs this attitude.

This guy is an idiot!  Fortunately, I am smarter than the average bear to NOT be stupid in signing  away a commission to an agent who comes across as sleazy.

I proceeded to persuade another buyer to make an offer.

We'll see what happens.

=)

"Just hope he's cool with Mexicans"

While texting a manager at one of my listings, to set up a showing, the manager texted me back that the manager: "Just hope he's (the Buyer) cool with Mexicans."

At first I was surprised by this remark.

Then, after thinking about it for a while; and, being constantly being reminded about the Twitter Washington stand off with high school white kids and the Indian Vietnam Veteran, I realized what he meant.

As a Real Estate Broker, I learned early in my real estate career, and in life, that you need to treat everyone with respect and admiration.

If you are one political party, don't let a political discussion with any client get in the way at all.

Yet, since I haven't ever been discriminated against, to me discriminating or invalidating some one isn't something I care to do. (At least I don't think I ever have been discriminated against.)

I value my time, effort and knowledge to the point that discriminating against anyone, to me, is to lose money.

The first Real Estate Broker I learned real estate from once said, the only thing you should care about as a real estate professional is how much money your client can qualify for.

To me, I look at people/clients I deal with NOT as what their skin color is; but, rather, how much worth do they have for me to provide them with my services.

Even though I am NOT a Realtor, I still value the Realtor HUD commitment.

Where Nevada Ranks in Best-Worst States for Women

At least Nevada isn't Louisiana! OR, Arkansas! Or Mississippi!

But at 44 out of 50, that's still horrible.

Maybe Senators Catherine Cortez Masto and incoming Senator Jacky Rosen can have some effective change on this.

44. Nevada
Total score: 44.22
Ranking for women’s economic and social well-being: 39th
Ranking for women’s health and safety: 50th

Nevada scored poorly in two categories relating to women’s quality of life. It came in third from the bottom for women without insurance, and it’s tied with three other states for having the highest rate of women killed by homicides.

Is Trump doing Putin's dirty work? And most of you don't realize it?!

During the election, I was steadily anti-Trump.

Having grown up in the Northeast US, I learned that Donald Trump in his business dealings would (allegedly) short contractors so his costs to re-build buildings would be less.

I remember a story of one of the first buildings he bought from the City of New York, that he (allegedly) paid far less than the actual cost of the building.

So, with these and other stories about Donald Trump circling and his running for president, I knew he wasn't the person I wanted running our country.

And, after he filed BK on several properties, I knew he wasn't capable of even running his companies. (My opinion.)

Now, with the GOP controlling the House and Senate, the only legislation he's passed is a Tax Reform that will (eventually) cause another recession. (My opinion that has been proven in the past.)

Now, there are plenty of articles about "Businessmen Presidents" and just how bad they were at being president.

Trump takes the cake.

With Mueller Investigating the Trump Campaign and their alleged violations of the Logan Act, Mueller is slowly turning over stones and so far finding at least two guilty pleas and several co-operating witnesses. (I believe there are more to come before this is finished.)

Knowing several attorneys as I do, they tell me the guilty pleas were to lessor charges so that the pleaders could become states evidence.

This all makes me take the leap that Trump is (in some way) working with Putin.

I believe Putin is trying to divide the US so we would become a weaker country of nation states.  (Kind of what happened to the USSR after it fall in the late last century.

So with this, I'm taking another leap of faith to say that with AG Sessions' abandoning the Obama let the states decide if marijuana is legal strategy, makes me think that the dividing of the states into nation states is fulfilling one of Putin's goals.

http://www.lasvegasnow.com/news/us-to-end-policy-that-let-legal-pot-flourish/901884492

I am sure you don't know this but the person leading the California succession movement lives in Moscow.  (You can do your own Internet search for that story.)

So, to all of you who think that the Mueller investigation is phony or fake, I will warn you that being a continent of United States is a whole lot better than being a continent of individual nation states eg: Africa, South America and Asia.

Just my two cents!

Climate Change Natural or Man-made?

If NOT into politics, you might want to avoid this blog post.

Since DonTheCon was Electoral College elected president, he has embarked on getting rid of "Unnecessary Government Regulations." I agree in a small part that the government does have some rules,/laws on their books that should be removed/changed.

But, when he appoints an EPA head who is a stanch supporter of the Oil Industry -- and this EPA Chief believes that the Oil Industry should be able to do what ever they want regardless of Cause and/or Effect on others health and well-being -- that's where I begin to have a problem.

Why?  Profit!

I believe the Oil Industry thinks that they do NOT have to clean up after themselves.  To them, cleaning up is too costly.  Besides, oil comes from the ground.  Why can't they just dump oil waste back onto the ground -- where it came from?

Everyone knows that the primary cause of air pollution is the gasoline engine.  Attempts to make electric engines doesn't give the driver the sense of power and surge of adrenaline that a gas engine does.

(Even I have a gas powered car.)

But when any industry is allowed to run rampant and destroy the air, water and earth we live on, I believe there is only so much the earth can take.  Humans are changing the planet and NOT for the better.

Even Stephen Hawkins says that we will destroy Earth because of the above aforementioned demand for Profit.  He even gave a year by which we will be successful in destroying the only planet we are capable of living on in the known universe -- 2600.

But, hey, that Profit is so, so important.  We need to keep the oil industry going.  Because without the oil industry, we just might be able to slow down or even stop climate change; have cleaner air and water; and, definitely have less pollution in general.

But, since profit is so important, we need to keep destroying human lives because - well, there are already too many humans occupying Earth. So, humans will continue to destroy Earth so when there is no Earth left, at least there will still be profit!

Can Earth right itself without humans changing their course?  I don't know.

But as these pictures from New Delhi, India indicate, I don't think so.

Sad day when fun and relaxation turns into a living horror!

Soft Target is what it's called.

That's when an individual takes advantage of a large peaceful crowd of people minding their own business and enjoying the evening entertainment when the despicable happens.

A massacre of unbelievable portions disrupts the peace and tranquility and the massacre leaves 58 people dead and 515 people wounded. (As of my posting this blob.)

And, the coward 'terrorist' (let's be honest, that's what he is) then kills himself as the police are about to move in.

I always ask afterward: if this person is truly set on committing suicide, then why kill others before killing yourself?  As a lay person, that doesn't make sense to me.

But, as the 'news' comes forth as the police investigate, it becomes apparent that this Stephen Paddock had planned this out thoroughly.

He had a 32nd floor suite that almost overlooked the event grounds on the east side of Las Vegas Blvd.  He had at least ten weapons n the suite.

And whether or not a few or many were slaughtered, he didn't care.

I hope he has an endless afterlife in hell.  If he thought his actual living life as bad, I hope Lucifer makes his afterlife even more painful.

Alaskan Cruise Excursion for a CRE Retreat!

If you missed me recently, I will apologize.
I know just how hard it is to enjoy yourself without my input.
But, I am sure you can manage for the next week to get along with yourselves without me.

Okay, I am NOT that important; nor anything I write here is so important that you can't get along without me!

The wife and I decided earlier this summer to just get away.  It's been way too long since we had a vacation and thought being together in cooler weather might be what the 33 year relationship needed.

So, I will see you all when I get back.

Right now, I am going to enjoy some down time watching a glacier melt and try my hand at some of tourist things being offered.

I hear it's cold in Alaska and will be bringing a lot of warm, dry clothes.

Make America Great Again? It always has been Great!

This past years General Election did wind me up and probably not in a good way.

When one of the candidates was campaigning on a racist platform, I was confident they wouldn't win.

Okay, they won -- the Electoral College.

Oh, well.  Time to move forward.

But, will the mostly poor counties that are stuck in the past be able to move forward?  I'm not sure.
It's like some one who tries to do the same thing over and over and they continue to expect a different result.

Are they insane or just showing signs of being an imbecile?  (See!  I am improving!  Last year I would have said: Crazy or Stupid!)

Anyway, I will leave invalidating other people to the bullies.

Today, I ran across this news story that I (think I) had seen on fivethirtyeight.com.  But this one was published by the New York Times and Re-printed in the Las Vegas Sun.

Apparently, America is changing.

https://lasvegassun.com/news/2017/jun/29/census-time-machine-sioux-falls-past-vegas-future/

So, if you have racist tendencies and believe that America would be 'Great Again' with more Caucasian people than 'others,' then you will be greatly disappointed with the projections this story has.

Personally, I never thought that America was "All White" to begin with.  But, that's just me.
Fortunately for me, too, I also live in the city that is probably already where the rest of America is going to end up -- population diversity wise as the story predicts America will be by 2050.

Simply for the Benefit of Building a Hotel in Moscow

With the "surprise" results of the 2016 Presidential Election, I don't think - looking back -- anything would have changed,

Trump made promises that, at the time, I knew he wasn't going to keep.

"Make America Great Again!" Great slogan!

But his promises to the 'non college educated' will ring hollow.  Several news agencies who have had sit down talks with these former factory workers who voted for Trump simply because they felt he was "one of the union guys."  He is going to bring our jobs back, they say.

LOL!

Trump a union guy?  You have to be kidding me!  Bring jobs back?  My question to these former factory workers is: Are you that uninformed?

+/-60% of all jobs lost since 1979 have been to automation!  Those jobs are NOT returning to human workers!  Never, Ever.

And the guy who you think of as a 'Union Guy,' actually refused to pay the union workers when they did work on his bankrupt casinos!  I don't think of Trump as a union guy.  Never will!

So, don't get me started.

And, with the Trump White House calling the media the "enemy of the state" simply because the news media has dug up information revealing Trump (and/or members of his team) have had constant contact with Russian officials throughout the 2016 campaign, that actually bothers me more than it should.

Apparently, Trump is more than desperate to (allegedly) build a luxury hotel in Moscow.  This is the only thing I can think of that would make him as a patriotic American turn his back on his country, his countries allies, and destroy the America way of life as Trump seems to be (allegedly) doing.

This article is one of the best at explaining the Trump Putin connection situation.

Trump Ties to Russia

I will let you decide whether or not Trump is 'unpatriotic.'

But, wanting to build a hotel in Moscow must be worth more than we can imagine for Trump to put together such a diverse team who all have such close ties to Russia, Russian officials, and Putin.

For one thing, World War II should have taught us that if Europe is divided into individual Republics, it is easier for a more powerful nation to knock them down, one by one, like dominoes.  This is because the neighboring Republics don't want the more powerful nation attacking them.  But, as history has shown, the powerful nation usually attacks without provocation anyway.  (See Germany circa 1939)

But, as a union of united European nations, if the powerful nation attacks one; then, they have attack them all.

And, Putin understands this.  He is all for European Republics being separate nations.
This makes me think that Putin (allegedly) even wants the United States to be 50 individual nations.  You are capable of doing the math.

Also, it is reported that in order to do business in Russia, Putin (allegedly) demands a large portion of that business so he will allow you to do business in Russia.  And, (also allegedly) it has to be given to him.

Just ask any of the Russian Billionaires who refused Putin.  There are stories of them being thrown in prison until they agreed.  (And sadly, some stories say they have even have been killed.)

Its a sad, sad world we live in right now.  Enemies are pretending to be friends; a President is pretending he can lead, and the White House Staff is squirting out the fake news insult phrases when the media contradicts Trump.

I don't know about you, but I find this absolutely annoying.  All it is doing, is helping to divide the United States into the Confederate States once again.

If only the GOP controlled Congress would stand up to the bully at the pulpit.  They could nip this in the butt and right the ship.

So, I ask: Is Donald Trump truly that unpatriotic that he would lead Americans to their demise -- simply for the benefit of building a hotel in Moscow?

Are Congressmen & Senators Non-College Educated, Too?

Don ran an excellent Presidential campaign that focused on core issues as "bad" (when they weren't) and stirring up so much anti Hillary sediment.  While doing this, he confused rural Americans into thinking because he was a businessman, he was the "only one who can fix it" person.

(The problem with this is that throughout US history, businessmen who became president are some of the worst presidents ever! (Don't believe me? Look it up.)

And, this: "I'm the only one who can fix it" attitude, enabled him to confuse and con the rural Americans into voting for him.  They (apparently) goose-stepped to the polls thinking he was going to be able to do what no other President would or could do.

(Boy, did these rural Americans get conned.  The majority of rural counties (+/-3,100) voted for Don; whereas, the majority of Urban counties (+/-57) voted for Hillary.)

And all during the 2016 Presidential campaign, Don kept saying how bad the Affordable Care Act (Obama care) was.  And, by doing this, he convinced rural Americans that the insurance that was actually helping them, was horrible for them.

However, the problem with Obama care, according to the Speaker of the House, Paul Ryan, was that insurers systematically pulled out of states -- thus enabling one insurer to have a monopoly within that state, that enabled them to charge more money in that state, thus the monthly increase in their premiums.  (And, they were able to do this because of the limited, or very, very weak Federal Regulation.)  And because there was no mandate stating: "You must provide insurance to all," They decided that they weren't making enough money.

Through the years, I've asked why there is no Federal Regulation for Insurers -- just as there is for Federal Mortgages, etc.  You've heard of the 'Equal Opportunity' line when applying for a mortgage, right?

So, why is there no Equal Opportunity for Insurance?

Paul Ryan explains why ACA Premiums increased

The reason is: the insurers don't want any Federal Regulation on their industry, so they continually lobby and contribute (pay off) to Congress person elections to avoid being regulated.

The problem is: Insurers are in the business of making money.  They truly don't care whether or not you are healthy; or, have adequate health care coverage, as long as you pay them your premium. That's all they want.

Oh, and if you want to have better coverage, or have a lower monthly premium, you must have a higher than normal deductible.  (Does this sound about right?)

Affordable Care Act Explained

And, the protests we are seeing at Congressional Town Hall Meetings of these Congress persons from these rural American Counties, is having an affect on them.  Even these supposed Non-College Educated rural Americans are finally realizing that they were conned, too.

These elected Congress persons or Senators are starting to feel the heat that repealing Obama care as Don has demanded -- or even changing it to what the insurers want -- will result in them NOT being re-elected.

This makes me think: Are these politicians Non-College Educated, too?  It's obvious, they didn't understand the Affordable Health Care Act in the first place.

I know that Don still doesn't understand it.  (He claims he doesn't like to read, so, I am guessing that he hasn't read it, nor has anyone around him.)

Don't Change My Health Insurance

So, all you politicians: Maybe it's time that you stop taking insurer's money and start focusing on your constituents, because if you don't; if you continue to support a bad president and his lame policies, you will be out of office the next election cycle.

Ignore Constituents and you are out!

Now, I knew that there was a huge campaign to 'Hate Hillary' this past Presidential Election.  I just didn't think rural Americans would be so easily persuaded as they were.

PS: If running for president, please remember: "Democracy was never meant to be efficient."

If I ever run for President, I will run as a Republican because they believe everything that Fox News tells them.

To me, it is astonishing to realize just how uninformed the majority of US Voters truly are.

In 1998, Donald Trump said, "If I ever run for President, I will run as a Republican because they believe everything that Fox News tells them."

Unfortunately, Don was correct.

In the 2016 Presidential election, out of all the US Counties, Don won 3,100 plus! (I still don't know why these county residents were swayed by the Trump/Bannon hateful rhetoric.)

But, what most people don't realize is that counties Trump won in the US election are the lowest producing economic counties in the US.  The one lone exception that stands out to me is: Maricopa County, AZ.

The sad thing is, Clinton carried the counties, that combined, make up 64% of the US GNP.  Which means that the 57 Counties who voted for Hillary Clinton are more prosperous than all the of counties that Trump won.

Counties with highest GNP

This leads me to know that if a county is that prosperous, and they supply so much economic value to the country, why don't the other counties that are poorer, follow their lead?

I realize that most can't do what most of the more prosperous counties do.

And I believe that the reason is, they don't look beyond their horizon.  They don't see the forest for the trees.  They keep doing the same thing over and over, expecting a different result.

They (foolishly) believed that an arrogant, narcissistic man who said he will bring their jobs back, when in fact 60%+/- of those "lost" jobs (since 1979) never, ever left the country in the first place. (Automation was cheaper for the factory than the human.)

But, instead of re-tooling; instead of looking ahead; these (now old) factory workers longed for their widget making job back.  (Massive mistake.)

So, if 50 counties have more economic power than all of the counties that Trump won, why don't those 3,100+ county leaders do something about it.

Could it be even the leaders of those counties can't get out of their own way?

The bottom-line is:

Trump is NOT going to bring back any of those lost jobs.
Trump will waste money building a "wall" along the southern border when in reality, it is not necessary.  (90% of Illegal Immigrants overstay their visas.  They don't stupidly attempt to cross 100's of miles of open desert.  It is a deadly thing to attempt. I don't care what the Reality TV shows indicate.)

Trump WILL increase the US National Debt by doing things that cost money, without a means or way to pay for them.

Sure.  Trump can cancel overpaying for a new plane; Trump can sign lots of 'Executive Orders' banning Muslims from entering the country (Out of ALL the Muslim nations, he selected the 7 nations where he doesn't currently have a business or operating hotel interest.)

Yet, Trump doesn't know how to play well with others.  Leaks from the White House indicate there is a pending massive exodus waiting to happen.  (And, he has only been President two weeks!)

You can only invalidate some so much before they lose respect for you as a person and/or leader.

(Trump, I believe, thought being President amounted to him just issuing orders; and Congress goose stepping along with those orders without questioning him.)

Sooner or later, (I hope sooner) the non college educated voter will realize just how stupidly they were selecting the man with the big mouth spewing hateful rhetoric.

And I hope and pray somewhere within the walls of Congress, an impeachment process is lingering.

If Obama had tried to do any of this stuff that Trump is trying to do, the GOP would already have begun the impeachment process.

Democracy was never intended to be efficient!

Could Vacant Malls be Renovated into Schools/Classrooms?

As I await for the continuation of the NFL Playoffs, I was cruising the usual Internet sites and came across an article about Department Store CEOs who are being replaced because of poor retail sales.
(Of course it is exciting to me!)

Anyway, with Amazon and e-bay taking rather large bites from this sector, and the fact that stores and malls are closing left and right, it got me thinking: (I know, not a good sign.) Since most communities still need schools, and most communities can NOT afford to build new schools, why aren't those school districts taking these already built and ready for (their) Tenant Improvement buildings and converting them to schools?

I'm sure that the banks would sell cheaply; or, they would lease to the school district cheaply in exchange for them taking care of the property while the bank tries to figure out what to do with the property next.

It has to be much, much cheaper to place a school into one of these buildings because the big box buildings could be divided into classrooms, auditorium, and gym; they already have the essential elements needed to supply children, teachers and administrators what they need.  Especially the smaller retail stores could be classrooms, etc.

Malls have built in Food Courts, Bathrooms, Hall Ways, Indoor Gathering Areas, Outdoor Gathering Areas, Ample Parking, and ease of access to and from the grounds.

The question I have: Why hasn't anyone else thought of this before?

The Trumpetters are getting ready -- to be disappointed!

The true title of this post should be: Corruption waiting to happen.

Because it is (allegedly) going to happen.

Trump through all of his businesses (yes! He owns thousands of LLC's which hold various properties from around the world), will result in the end of Trump's reign as US President.

The reason I think this is because I don't think Trump is capable of resisting the urge to make money.  And, as the Emolument Clause says, the president can not make money from a foreign country.

Now, if that doesn't happen, there is another item that I know Trump and his loonies haven't thought about.

Since he owns high rises throughout the world under various LLC's, what will the US Response be when a terrorist group attacks one of his towers?  What if they knock one or two down, killing hundreds if not thousands of people?  You know, like they did with airplanes back on 9/11/2001?

Putting Trump in office will be the biggest disaster in US history.  Instead of paying billions to prevent Russia from attacking Western Europe via NATO, I foresee hundreds of billions being spent being paid for damages, real and punitive as a settlement for Trump's arrogance.

And, even the odds makers are calling for Trump to be leaving office before four years.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/donald-trump-impeached-us-president-bookies-offer-even-odds-us-congress-inauguration-a7531536.html

Unfortunately, the non college educated (STUPID PEOPLE) voted the wrong candidate into office because they were conned into thinking that Trump was going to bring back their widget making/assembling job at $20 an hour. He's not!

Since 1979, +/-60% of jobs lost were lost to automation.  Those jobs didn't leave the US.  They are still here being done more efficiently and at less cost by a machine than a human.

Even the Electoral College -- which Alexander Hamilton originally designed to be a nonpartisan group of Educated people -- got it wrong.

John Dean says Trump will breach Presidential Oath of Office!

A lot of you out there probably don't know just WHO John Dean is.

For a long time, I thought he (could be) was Deep Throat* within the Nixon Administration. (It turns out he was NOT.)

Anyway, if there is one person who can read through the BS that Trump is spinning, it's John Dean -- having done this, and did that for Richard Nixon.

This article describes just "How" Trump is using (conning?) Americans into thinking he is capable of being President of the United States when in actuality he is NOT.

http://www.newsweek.com/john-dean-gutless-press-still-giving-trump-free-pass-536478

And like most of Trump's critics, we know Trump is not qualified to be president -- we just can't convince the Non College Educated White Person of this -- yet!

*Deep Throat was Bernstein's and Woodward's inside source that helped them bring down Richard Nixon's presidency.

Will we need a Deep Throat inside of Trump's Presidency?

My New New Year's Resolutions! Good Riddance 2016!

Making New Year's Resolutions is NOT something I usually do.  I figure it is a waste of my time.

That's not to say, I don't have goals I want to reach.  I do.  I just usually focus on them exclusively.

Goals, such as: two years ago, I had a personal goal to lose 35 lbs.  I finally made that goal -- even though it took me 18 months -- and I have been at that weight ever since.  (I need to reestablish that goal to lose a few more pounds.)

And, twenty-six months ago, I established a professional goal to sell a very large, piece of Las Vegas Gaming/Hotel Real Estate that I know could be acquired.  And, I almost had the goal accomplished when I found a buyer with the financial backing to make the purchase.  I am more than certain that they would have made the acquisition if not for a certain (phony) billionaire's hateful rhetoric while he was running for president.

And since this person's electoral college win, I have noticed a dramatic change in what people are posting to and replying to on LinkedIn.  There is so much hate being spewed on this site -- racial hate being focused on one particular person because of -- well if you are being honest -- his skin color.

From what I can tell, LinkedIn has digressed from what it was when it first started, and has devolved into a Facebook, Instagram site.  And, even other LinkedIn members have mentioned that postings and replies to postings in fact shouldn't be on a business web site like this.

Sure.  I have fallen for the bait, too.  But my main goal while being a member of LinkedIn was and has always been: helping a fellow business persons/companies acquire Las Vegas CRE Property.

Now, I did make some connections while I have been a LinkedIn member that I will most likely keep in my contacts forever.  But, going back over the actual closed deals I have made through the years, none of those closed deals could be traced back to any connection made while being a member of LinkedIn.

And, with that said, I think I will follow my wife's move that she made a few years ago: when she deleted her LinkedIn account.

At the time, my wife said, "LinkedIn wasn't getting her any business;" and she found it "a waste of time."

Recently, with the aforementioned racial hatred being posted on LinkedIn, I am inclined to agree with her.  And since LinkedIn is rapidly becoming a racial hatred site, I don't want any part of it anymore.

I do blame Don for this sudden change in racial tension.  I do blame Don's hateful rhetoric for killing my large deal.  And, I blame his Electoral College win of the presidency on this, too.

And, more recently, I've noticed that LinkedIn members -- who do have a lot more education than most of the Non-College Educated Americans who voted for Don -- are now reciting the same hateful rhetoric as if it is now okay to come out of the racial prejudice closet.

So, what's left for me?  Well, I need to make a new New Year's Resolution!

Since most of my deals have come from my own hard work; and, they were never, ever reliant on a business web site, I am probably going to do what I should have done a long time ago: follow my wife's lead.  (She is a lot smarter than I am.)

So, my new New Year's Resolution is: By years end, I will have most likely canceled / deleted my LinkedIn account.  (I would do it sooner, but I want to see what the posting/replies will be to this post.) (Curiosity killed the cat, right?)

Why cancel?  Because being a member of LinkedIn hasn't made me any money at all.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I don't understand: How do normally intelligent people fall for a lie?

You might think of this blogging today as a lesson.  It's not.  I just truly don't understand why people will believe something just because some one says it -- whether it is true or not.

Mark Twain once said: 'It's easier to fool someone, then to unfool them."

This rings true even until today.

The problem I am having is: I am finding it very hard to believe that normal, everyday human beings are so willing to accept a bold face lie -- just because one person says it is true -- and insist that his/her version is true!

Case in point: Trump verses the non-college educated white working person.

Trump has repeatedly said, he is going to bring back the jobs from Mexico and China! And he's going to 'Make America Great Again!' while doing it.

Okay, I guess Hitler said something similar back in the 1930's that allowed him to take power in Germany.  My problem with this is why haven't we leaned from history not to fall for this?

Now, Trump has been voted president by the Electoral College.  Okay.  So, is he now going to disband congress and take dictatorial powers?

No.  He is not.  Our system of government may allow a clown to be voted into office, but there still are checks and balances that he will have to learn to deal with.

And, as I watch him appoint persons that have no specific training to jobs that require a certain amount of experience to perform those jobs, I will keep an open mind.

And, I believe that most people do have open minds; but Trump, I think, is under the impression (delusion) that as president he can just fire Congressmen/women or Senators at will.

Well, Don, that's not going to happen.

So, with Donald now officially President-elect, I will anxiously wait for his resignation or impeachment; which ever comes first is okay with me.

But, before I end this today, I would like to give my own Thank You Tour by saying, "Thank you non-college educated white people.  Trump promised to bring your job back!  Well, that is NOT going to happen since your job was most likely lost to a robot who does it so much better (and cheaper) than you in the first place."

So, you were fooled into voting for him.  Best of Luck.

Electoral College GOP Voters May Vote against Trump!

When I saw this, this morning, I thought my prayers were answered.

I would be able to get my Middle Eastern Client/Buyer back on track; and also the two Chinese Buyers to renew their efforts to acquire Las Vegas CRE Property.

I just hope the cat isn't out of the bag too soon.

And since Harvard University Law Professor Larry Lessig has announced this event, I truly hope that there are more than twice as many that will vote Hillary than is needed for her to obtain 270 Electoral Votes.

Here are two links to the story: (You may have to copy and paste the link in your browser.)

Lets hope there are 38 or more actual voters who Vote faithless!

Trump (supposed) election cost me +$8 Million in CRE Commissions

If money talks, then losing the ability to make money screams LOUDLY!

For two years I have been working with two foreign investors (hotel/resort owners) who want to become part of the exclusive Las Vegas Resort Owners Club.  (This is NOT a real club.)

In order to become such a member, you have to have very, very deep pockets and have someone like me on your payroll (sort of to speak) -- (at least have me signed up to help you for compensation).

With that said, I was lined up to make a very, very large pay day -- which doesn't happen very often if at all -- if the buyer and his/their investors actually go through with acquiring a multi-billion dollar resort.

Even Donald Trump doesn't have this type of cash.

And because of Donald Trump's anti Muslim rant, and his (potential) win of electoral college votes, his election to the US Presidency is costing me a +$5 Million in CRE commission.

And, just this week, with Trump's ignorant telephone call to Taiwan and upsetting the US relation with China, he is now costing me another +$3 Million in CRE commission.

So, no love loss here.

Now, with the Russian hacking and the belated GOP leadership asking for a bipartisan investigation into this Russian hacking of the DNC and the RNC, it is my hope Trump doesn't get sworn in as President.  If he does, he may in the future have to resign.

But, I am hopeful, the Electoral College does its constitutional job and debates the pros and cons of a Trump Presidency; then, they vote for one of the top three vote recipients; namely the politically experienced one - Hillary Clinton.

I say this because my gut feeling is: Where there is smoke, there is fire.

Which leads me to hope that the Electoral College Voters realize Trump's unworthiness and that at least 38 Electoral College Voters vote faithless and elect the popular vote winner as President.

I know, it's a pipe dream.  But Trump has continued to demonstrate that he is NOT ready to be the President of the USA.

And the anti-China rant, to me, was the last straw.

#ElectoralCollegeVoteHillary
